one day, you woke up and realized you were late for an appointment with friends. you reached for your mobile and noticed 3 unread messages demanding your current location.
how do they sound like?
a. where are you?
b. you are LATE.
if its a, then good. you either have very nice people as friends or you rarely turn up late.
if its b, then not very good. you must have been late all the time or very long time. do something about it, dude.
familiar right? i know its hard to declare your lateness, but your friends deserve to know. state a logical timing of how long will you take to reach.
don't say 'i'll be there in 15 minutes' when you know it's gonna be mission impossible.
always give a reply. please do not not bother like SOME PEOPLE I KNOW OF.
(to my defence and attack, yes. i have done that too. please forgive me, people.)
panic and anxiety enters. you quickly make a run-through of the morning rituals, fast but not your best. you gotta look fine before you step out of the flat.
is that what would you do?
a. yes.
b. not really.
if its a, alright. if you're a girl, fine. it takes time for a lady to get ready(oh my that rhymes well). the whole world knows that. if you're not, just put on your 3 piece clothings and GO.
if its b, good. you learn how to appreciate the lateness. kudos! run along now!
still familiar? i know you gotta look good. but come on! you meet your friends alot. i'm sure they would not mind your hair spiked up or not. unless you're a different person with different hairstyles.
(i don't do hair and extra stuff. so it's not really a bone to pick)
you are by the road side, to your left is that usual patience taking bus stop and to your right is the perfect spot for taxi.
which side would you turn to?
a. left of course!
b. right then.
there's no definite answer to here. it all depends on the situation. if you're filthy rich and has all the money to spare, by all means take a cab.
another reason is of course if you're planning these:
- a time constraint activity(movies, plays)
- you're meeting someone important(love of your life? you go, buddy!)
if you're not planning to, then tell your friends again how long will you take to get on the bus and reach, not just getting on.
unless you have not been following, you'll get by that unfateful mistake. i'm sure your peers will appreciate all that more than a 'sorry, i'm late! coming soon!'
to wrap up, i must compliment responsible people like peilun. the world needs more samaritans like you!
